I love data. All kinds of data. All aspects of using data. I have experience with and a passion for the full range of data creation and implementation whether that means designing high quality data, overseeing its collection, cleaning it for analysis, or using it to make conclusions and drive new programs. As a Social Demographer and Fulbright Scholar I have used structured surveys (large and small) as well as interview and focus group data to study (1) how women, families, and young adults navigate childbearing, education, and work in highly disadvantaged settings, and (2) how these processes are linked to health outcomes and well-being. My methods training as a sociology PhD candidate was primarily quantitative. In my work conducting population-representative and cross-national studies I use multilevel modeling, causal inference, longitudinal analysis, psychometrics, and I have formal training in quasi-experimental designs. |
